Meeting of Intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on Cooperation Held in PRESIDENT HOTEL
The fifteenth meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Indian commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation (hereinafter – Commission) was held on 21 October 2009 in PRESIDENT HOTEL. The event took place in the ROUND HALL of the hotel, traditional place for conducting functions of the highest level, like summits and other meetings of heads of states and governments.
The Russian delegation was headed by Sergei Sobyanin, Deputy Prime Minister, Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Russian part of the Commission. The Indian delegation was headed by S.M. Krishna, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the Indian part of the Commission.
The results of the Commission’s work were formulated in the Protocol signed for Russian party by Sergei Sobyanin and for Indian party by S.M. Krishna. The content of the Protocol shows that, despite of the world financial and economic crisis, investment and economic cooperation between Russia and India keeps a positive tendency of growth and sustained development. The work of the Commission was positively assessed by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev who received S.M. Krishna on 21 October 2009 in the Kremlin.
