Ninth Visit of Venezuelan President to Russia

Hugo Chavez, President of the Bolivarian Republic of the Venezuela, made his ninth since taking office in 1991, two-day official visit to Russia  on  October 14-15, 2010.  As always, in line with the existing tradition,  he chose to be accommodated in Presidential Suite of the PRESIDENT HOTEL.

President Hugo Chavez, within the framework of his visit, had fruitful negotiations with President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on further development of ties between two countries.  The focus of the talks was not only military ties, but also energy, including nuclear, hydrocarbons extraction and refining, agriculture, science and even construction of social housing.

The visit of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to Russia resulted in signing more than 10 Russian-Venezuelan papers on cooperation.
