South African President Jacob Zuma In The PRESIDENT HOTEL
At the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, on August 5-6, 2010 President of the Republic of South Africa Jacob Zuma together with his spouse paid an official visit to Russia. As his residency in Moscow South African leader selected the Presidential suite of the PRESIDENT HOTEL.
South African President’s visit to Russia was part of his strategic initiative to open new trade and investment routes to the fast growing BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) economies. He has already visited Brazil and India and plans to go to China on an official visit in the near future. It was his first visit to Russia since taking office in May and Jacob Zuma headed a delegation of 11 ministers and about 100 businessmen.
President Jacob Zuma met President Dmitry Medvedev. They discussed bilateral cooperation in the sphere of science, energy and mineral resources mining. In his opinion, South Africa is a gateway to investment and business thoughout Africa. If a country has good relations with South Africa in gains easy access to other African countries.
