Visit of Vietnamese Delegation
At the invitation of the federal Council of Russia’s Federal Assembly, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on 9-12 March, 2013 paid an official visit to Moscow. Vietnamese delegation was accommodated at the PRESIDENT HOTEL. The head of the delegation occupied the Presidential Suite, and his entourage took 39 rooms of different categories.
Within the framework of the visit’s program the Vietnamese delegation met Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia’s Federal Assembly Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin, Chairman of the Communist Party of Russia Gennady Zyuganov.
In the process of negotiation the Sides agreed on measures to further strengthen the parliamentary relations and to develop the ties of friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership. Head of the Vietnamese delegation highly appreciated effective cooperation in implementing the comprehensive strategic partnership in defense and security, military-technical cooperation, science and technology. The head of Vietnamese delegation suggested that the two sides should move towards the early singing the free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Customs Alliance.
